Chinese businessmen delegation Leader Xie Boyang currently visiting Pakistan has said: Our entrepreneurs have come to explore opportunities of co-operation between the two countries especially in the field of industry. There were ample opportunities for setting up joint ventures between Chinese and Pakistani entrepreneurs, he said, while addressing a meeting held at the Punjab Industrial Estates (PIE) Development and Management Company here.
PIE Chairman Mohsin Sayed gave a presentation about the Sundar Industrial Estate (SIE), while the Punjab Investment and Industry Minister Ajmal Cheema briefed the delegation members about tax policy and incentives for the industrial sector.
Mohsin Syed said that developmental work like construction of roads, sewerage, CETP (combined effluent treatment plant), and other was being completed speedily, and owners of few factories have already started construction of their buildings. He said the Sundar Industrial Estate would generate about 600,000 jobs directly and indirectly on completion besides, over 30 billion of rupee investment in industrial sector will be made.
The leader of the Chinese delegation and other members also expressed their interest in investing in SIE and other industrial estates in Punjab during the meeting.
