President Pervez Musharraf has accepted the resignation of NWFP Governor Iftikhar Hussain Shah who resigned " due to personal reasons". The President has appointed Khalil-ur-Rehman as the new governor of NWFP. While accepting the resignation, the President has desired Iftikhar Hussain Shah to continue as governor till assumption of office by his successor.
President Musharraf expressed his deep appreciation of the services rendered by the outgoing governor for socio-economic uplift of the people, especially those in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).
He wished the outgoing governor success for the future.
