Poor starts have been a problem for Pakistan in their ongoing four-Test series in England. England leveled the Test series against Pakistan after beating the visitors in the second Test by 330 runs.
England bowlers James Anderson, Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali were the main destroyers and had Pakistan on the ropes. Earlier, England opted to bat first in the second Test and posted 589 on the board courtesy ton from Captain Alastair Cook and a double ton from right-hand batsman Joe Root. Root finished with a remarkable 325 in the match.
However, Joe Root was the man-of-the-match for his double century and an unbeaten 71.
England's 330-run victory over Pakistan in the second Test at Old Trafford on Monday was their fifth-biggest victory in terms of runs at this level.
