Chairman "The Founders" Pervez Hanif has criticised the LCCI president for not attending the groundbreaking ceremony of Sunder Industrial Estate saying that leaving aside the chamber politics, he should have represented the traders and industrialist community in the function.
While addressing the opening ceremony of The Founders office here on Wednesday, Pervez Hanif said that the LCCI president did not attend the ceremony because of Chairman Sunder Industrial Estate Development and Management Company, Mohsin Ali Syed's close association with The Founders.
It is true that Mohsin Syed is still the part of The Founders but he has promised to remain indifferent and impartial during the LCCI elections, Hanif emphatically said.
According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, besides Jalil R. Baig and Khawaja Zarfar of Branderth Road, Safdar Butt, President of Liberty Market, and Sohail Imtiaz Butt of Badami Bagh Market, a large number of traders and their representatives from Montgomery Market, Sarafa Bazar, Bedon Road, McLeod Road, Lunda Bazar, Loha Bazar, and Akbri Mandi were also present at the occasion.
Pervez Hanif said the LCCI president should work to serve the interest of the traders and industrialists community.
The Founders chief also made formal announcement of the candidates for the associate class, which included Muhammad Asif, Sajid Meer, Haji Muhammad Rizwan Shamsi, and Ahmad Mujtaba Babar.
The traders representatives present at the occasion appreciated Pervez Hanif for his efforts regarding restoration of 385 members of associate class whose name were unlawfully deleted by the ruling group from the voters' list. They also reiterated their support to Pervez and assured that they would cast their votes in favour of The Founders' candidates.
