imageISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr Syed Asif Kirmani on Friday expressed optimism that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz would form government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir following landslide victory in polls.

Addressing at Iftar dinner hosted in honour of PML(N) ticket holders for AJK elections urged the party workers to remain united to defeat the opponents who had been wasting the public money during their government.

He said the tickets were awarded to candidates on merit in a transparent manner, thus, each party worker should consider their candidate as representative of the PML(N) by cooperating and muster up masses support for his election.

He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had a vision to usher era of development and prosperity in the country including the AJK, and the party candidates should step in for elections in high spirit to carry forward the development-oriented agenda for masses.

He said Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had always worked for the development of AJK and highlighted the Kashmir issue at each forum, boldly and vigorously.

He said Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had vision of strong Pakistan in all respect and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was successfully going ahead with his sincere efforts to accomplish this task.

He asked them to pray for early recovery of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who after return home and take steps for resolution of their problems.

He said that trust should not be reposed in the looters and plunderers and PML-N was standing behind Kashmiri masses.

He said those who could not get Party tickets should not get dishearten rather they extend hand of cooperation to win election, adding they would be accommodated during government formation process.

PML-N senior leader and leader of the House in Senate Raja Zafarul Haq said AJK had had great leaders of political vision and they could play big role in ensuring prosperity and development of the area.

He said Prime Minister had wish to participate in ticket awarding ceremony and provide guidance for the election campaign and development works in AJK, but he had to go abroad due to his health.

He said ticket holders had extra responsibilities to take all workers along and work for the masses' welfare.

PML-N president of AJK chapter Raja Farooq Haider Khan said the tickets had been awarded honestly and all the decision had been made on merit.

He urged the party workers to maintain discipline and unity to effectively work for development and prosperity of AJK.

He said reservations of people in Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Mirpur had been removed and hoped the people of those areas would actively come foward to support PML-N in elections.

Speaking on the occasions, the party workers expressed their full cooperation and confidence in their candidates and showed trust in board's decisions.

They said election campaign would be vigorously carry forward so that the PML-N won the elections.

Besides other leaders, the ceremony was attended by Federal Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rashid and members of parliamentary board.
