Only one deal in Sindh cotton was seen on the market owing to reportedly very little sales of yarn, relevant sources said on Monday.
The ginners took another wise step to reduce the lint price by another Rs 25 to Rs 2725 without Rs 50 upcountry market.
The only deal was marked in 200 bales of Nawabshah at Rs 2650.
Sources said there were bleak prospects, at the moment, for quicker trading in cotton because sales in yarn have been blocked for quite some time. Cotton consultant Naseem Usman said that experts were apprehensive and were expecting crisis-like conditions to be brewing up.
However, he said that scenario change was expected if the trade policy incorporates suggestions given by the spinners, etc.
