OVERVIEW OF THE PAKISTAN OPERATIONS
Pakistan is among several eastern countries that have serious problems providing a reliable supply of safe drinking water. The problem becomes even more pronounced when you enter a large city like Karachi. Heavy industrialisation and dense living conditions cause increased levels of contamination in existing water supplies. Inadequate water supplies and poor sanitation standards are the main causes of fatal water borne diseases in Pakistan.

Our plant at Karachi is fully equipped with Reverse Osmosis and Ozonation system providing drinking water to a large and distinguished clientele. CULLIGAN'S STATE-OF-THE-ART PROCESSING PLANT IN KARACHI
Culligan has build "brand recognition" through superior quality and superior customer service. We believe in educating our customers as to what good water should be and then we deliver high quality drinking water. In Karachi, Culligan's processing plant is fully operational and is well equipped to produce soft, clear and refreshing drinking water. Here is a brief description of the purification process.
First, the raw water passes through a filter to an intermediate holding tank and is ozonated for treatment against bacteria and other harmful micro-organisms. It then passes through a multimedia filter, carbon filters and softeners in order to soften the water and remove suspended solids and foul odor. After passing through another filter, it goes through the Reverse Osmosis process and finally to the main product tank. An additional unit is installed to ozonate the water and also supply ozone treated water to our automatic rinser and bottle filler. A 0.35 micron filter ensures clean water for filling operations. To ensure a sterile environment, positive air pressure is constantly maintained during operations. After operations, shutdown procedures include mandatory sanitation of the work area and equipment. Strict hygiene conditions maintained in washing/cleaning area by vigilant personnel ensure consistent product quality.
The daily production batch is quarantined for twenty-four hours before being approved by the Quality Control department for market dispatch. The facilities are constantly being inspected by the Quality Control staff, which specifically includes the raw water storage area and state of the delivery vans.
