PIA's 50th anniversary celebrated

The 50th Anniversary of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was celebrated at the Intercontinental Hotel in Jeddah.
General Manager PIA in Saudi Arabia organised the party. Among others, the function was attended by a number of important dignitaries including Prince Ahmed Bin Fahd Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, the Consul General in Jeddah, CEOs and senior executives from the expatriate community.
Salim Nisar spoke about the achievements of Pakistan's national flag carrier, which started its operations, in 1954 and only within few years became one of the world's foremost and renowned airlines.
He informed that in the year 2003 the Airline earned record revenue of Rs 4.8 billion.
