Punjab Minister for Communication and Works Zaheer-ud-Din Khan has said that the budget of next financial year is revolutionary and historic in every sense.
Before this such an excellent and people-friendly budget had never been presented in the history of the country, as besides increasing the pension and salaries of government servants relief had been provided to small and big traders and all the strata of the society including the steps taken for the promotion of agricultural sector.
He expressed these views while talking to delegations of people during his visit here. These included members of the trade organisations, farmers, ulema and people belonging to different walks of life.
Zaheer told them that during his stay here he had been gathering views of industrialists, members of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, traders, leaders, farmers and common people about budget. He said that all of them had paid rich tributes to President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Jamali and Shaukat Aziz for presenting very fine and praiseworthy budget.
He said that in the light of the announcements made by President Musharraf, Prime Minister Jamali and Chief Minister Pervaiz Ellahi, developmental works were being carried out throughout the province including Faisalabad district.
