The Annual Plan Co-ordination Committee (APCC) has proposed Rs 1127.931 million including foreign component of Rs 200 million for various projects of Capital Development Authority (CDA) in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2004-05, informed sources said.
According to the sources, Rs 102.682 million has been proposed by the committee for the ongoing dualisation of IJ principal road from Faizabad to Pirwadai Islamabad.
For the improvement of STP phase 1,11,111 and construction of STP IV the committee has proposed Rs 220 million including 200 foreign aid in the PSDP 2004-05.
For the dualisation of Islamabad Highway from Gumrah Bridge to Rawat, the committee proposed Rs 65 million. For the construction of service block and shifting of electricity equipment at Awan-e-Sadr the committee proposed Rs 66.729 million. The whole amount is foreign aid.
The committee proposed Rs 67.291 million for the construction of third lane on Islamabad Highway from flying club turning to Faizabad interchange.
The committee also proposed Rs 37.399 million for some construction work at the convention centre Islamabad, while proposed Rs 295 million for the procurement of fire fighting vehicles for Islamabad.
For the construction of second carriageway of Kashmir highway from Dhokri to zero point Rs 69.160 million were proposed by the committee. The committee also proposed to allocate Rs 40 million for Expo 2005 in Islamabad.
The committee also proposed Rs 1.800 million for the water supply and sanitation for Shakrial, while Rs 3 million for the water supply to Bhara Kahu.
The committee also proposed Rs 11.181 million for the construction of ICTA's judicial and administration complex at Islamabad. For setting of 6 women community centre in Islamabad the committee proposed to allocate Rs 1.100 million.
The committee also proposed Rs 10.770 million for the widening and strengthening of existing 65 km rural roads, Rs 9 million for the 25 km of roads in Tarlai, Rs 8.500 million for the 25 km roads in Sihala, and Rs 2 million for the construction of BHU at Tarnoi.
The committee also proposed Rs 9.600 million for the replacement/purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment in Islamabad territory.
For the construction of Building of National Institute of fire technology, Islamabad Rs 20 million proposed by the committee.
For the establishment of forest nurseries and Block A forestation Rs 3.515 proposed while establishment of computer literacy-centres in 9 Union Council Rs 2 million were proposed to allocate.
The committee also proposed Rs 51 million for different Islamabad rural areas development programmes including internal roads, street pavement in Bahara Kahu, Jarrani, Hathial, rehabilitation of Simly dam, Quaid-e-Azam University Ramli road, water supply schemes at Koral, Khana Dak, Chuchkal, Sihala and Tarlai.
