National progress cannot be accomplished without an active participation of the society so every citizen should take part in popularising the education zealously.
This was stated by Executive District Officer (EDO) Literacy, Muhammad Asif Tarar, while addressing a seminar held in TMA Hall Jaranwala in connection with "Education for all".
EDO Literacy said that the government had launched several revolutionary projects for enhancing the rate of literacy through formal and non-formal education to promoting knowledge and awareness by motivating each and every individual of the society to get education.
Tehsil Nazim Major (Retd) Abdul Rehman Rana, presiding over the seminar, said that in the programme "Education for all" priority should be given to "women", because an educated woman could nurture a good family, fine society and a civilised nation.
He urged the lady councillors to take an active part in the drive for admission of the children in the schools and fulfil their national obligations.
