Subcommittee of the National Assembly's standing committee on communication held its first meeting at Karachi Port Trust on Friday.
The subcommittee has been assigned the work to probe into the grounding of foreign oil tanker Tasman Spirit at KPT.
The meeting was presided over by convenor of the committee, Malik Amin Aslam Khan MNA. Other members of the committee are Nawab Mohammad Yousaf Talpur MNA and Dr Ghulam Haider Samejo MNA.
They discussed with chairman of KPT and Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) various technical aspects regarding the stucking up of Tasman Spirit.
Senior consultants from Ministry of Law and Director General, Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Sindh were also present.
