The Radio Diagnostics and Imaging Department of Civil Hospital, Karachi was formally inaugurated here on Wednesday following its upgradation with the support of Patient Aid Society and the Dow College Graduates (Dowiites) batch 1979.
The facility will be supporting hundreds of needy patients visiting the hospital each day and requiring relevant tests as well as medical care and treatment.
Sindh health minister expected to open the renovated department could not make it, however, a message on his behalf was read out in which the Dowittes 1979 were assured of all support for the procurement of Helical CT scan and MRI.
While reiterating that government despite its limited resources is committed to improve the health care facilities and does appreciate assistance extended by philanthropists.
Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui (Retd), President, Patients Aid Society, Civil Hospital Karachi speaking on the occasion congratulated Dowiites and terming them as dedicated and public spirited batch of doctors lauded them for their generous investment in upgradation of a much needed facility at one of major hospital of the province catering patients from Sindh as well as Balochistan.
