Message from Chairman Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association

I extend my heartiest felicitation to the organisers of the IGATEX Pakistan 2004 on their 3rd International Garment, Textile and Leather Machinery, Accessories and Fabrics Exhibition 2004.
This sector contributing more than 60% of the foreign exchange to the country and employing more than 40% of the labour force requires the much-needed focus.
Even though our various partners countries in trade have imposed anti dumping duties on our products, but still it hasn't dampen our spirits and we have continually seen an increase in our textile and garment exports to these same countries.
Coupled with the Pakistani Government's bold step of achieving quota free access to foreign markets and the consistent efforts of our sister trade associations, we have not only managed to improve our production and packaging techniques, but also established many new products categories.
This exhibition will provide a much needed opportunity to the manufacturers & exporters of textile and garment industry to view and acquire the latest machines from world-renowned manufacturers on their home ground without the hassles of travel out of Pakistan.
I wish and hope that the organisers M/s Pegasus Consultancy (Pvt) Ltd & Conference Exhibition Management Services (Pvt) Ltd keep on organising this event every year. I predict a roaring success of IGATEX 2004.
