Babar Mirza Chughtai, Chairman, Association of Builders and Developers (Abad) has urged Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad to issue instructions to the concerned government departments to solve the problems of builders and developers.
He said that the assurances given by President Pervez Musharraf and Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz regarding redressal of grievances faced by builders would result in a revolution in construction industry.
He said that the biggest hindrance in revival of construction industry is the snail's pace process of de-freezing of plots allotted during the period from 1985 to 1997.
He said that in order to increase the construction activity resulting in thousands of jobs for jobless labourers and technicians of the country, the de-freezing of plots process should be speeded up.
