The tourism activities in Sindh will be accelerated on a large scale. This was told in a meeting between Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Managing Director Malik Muhammad Habib Khan and Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad here on Thursday.
Malik briefed Dr Ibad about the various projects of the PTDC in Sindh, saying the Corporation is constructing a motel at Hawksbay in Karachi.
He said the work at this project was slow during the year 1989-96 due to law and order situation in the vicinity, adding a restaurant with allied facility would be constructed for the entertainment of the tourists on the beautiful seashore of Karachi, and the project will start soon.
The PTDC managing director also briefed the Sindh governor about the amusement park being constructed in Karachi, saying the project has been approved by Rais Munir Ahmad, Minister of State for Minorities, Culture, Sports, Tourism & Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Culture & Tourism has already requested to the Sindh governor for allotment of land for the project.-PR
