Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Askari Commercial Bank Limited for acceptance of gas bills through Askari ATMs and internet services.
This service will be available to customers of ACBL as well as SSGC customers, who do not maintain an account with ACBL.
SSGC MD, Munawar Baseer and ACBL President and Chief Executive, Kalim-ur-Rehman signed the MoU here on Thursday.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Munawar Baseer said this initiative was in line with the company's strategy to bring economical and technology enabled convenience of gas bill payment to their customers' doorstep. He added that this would also give their customers freedom of choice and option for easy payment of their gas bills.
According SSGC spokesman, the company is the first utility company in the country who has provided value based bill payment choices to its customers maintaining its focus on payment through credit cards, ATMs, PoS, internet, customer call centres and customer facilitation centres.
It has entered into an agreement with various banks for these services. Soon the SSGC customers will be informed of confirmed dates and the options concerning the payment of their gas bills.
