The famous 65-member Turkish naval band and a 19-member jazz orchestra will give a performance here on March 24 as part of celebrations of the Pakistan Republic Day that falls a day earlier.
The Turkish embassy and the Islamabad Marriott Hotel have jointly sponsored the jazz performance, according to a press release.
The later will also hold a reception for the large number of guests invited for the occasion.
The following day, a team of the Turkish President's Polo Club will play at the Race Course Park Polo Ground in Rawalpindi while the Turkish naval band will be in attendance.
The polo club has been sending teams for matches against Pakistani players for the last three decades in commemoration of the first Turkish presidential visit to Pakistan in 1955.
In one way or the other, Turkey has always sent musical performers or sports luminaries to join the celebrations of Pakistan Republic Day.
