The national carrier, PIA is likely to operate its flight to Shanghai in next month.
PIA Marketing Director, S. Kamran Hasan said that we were considering to start the flight to Shanghai as soon as possible.
There was also proposal to reduce the fare on this route to facilitate the people and enhance the traffic load, he said while talking to newsman in Beijing.
He said, we believe that the increased airline operation would provide greater boost to economic and cultural activities between the two countries, besides strengthening the tourism industry.
Kamran Hasan added, since the PIA had now been granted permission from the Chinese to increase its flights from the existing 4 to 14 per week on Karachi-Islamabad-Urmqi-Beijing and Shanghai route, it would now also be feasible to run big planes like 777 and 747.
It is reiterated that Pakistan and China signed the historical agreement on Thursday to expand the air services between the two countries.
