imageATZENBRUGG: China's Wu Ashun was eyeing a second career European Tour title on Saturday when he moved to within a shot of South Africa's Zander Lombard at the top of the Austrian Open leaderboard.

Wu, 30, who became the first Chinese player to win on home soil on the European Tour when he captured the 2015 China Open, was four shots off the lead overnight.

But on Saturday he carded four birdies before the turn to climb up the leaderboard.

He then made the perfect start to the back nine, rolling in a six-foot birdie putt at the 10th to get to eight under, before picking up further shots at the 13th and 14th.

"I played really good today and I'm feeling good right now. The weather was nice to us too, the conditions on this course are great," said Wu.

"I made a lot of birdies today and no bogeys so I'm getting a really good feeling at the moment. I just need to keep going now, don't slow down and keep making birdies."

His round of 69 moved him to 10 under for the tournament.

Lombard, 21, heads into Sunday's final round on 11 under par after mixing seven birdies with a triple bogey.

"It's always a great position to be in to really compete and I'm looking forward to it a lot, so I'm going to give it my best and try to stick to what I'm doing, it seems to be working so far," he said.
