The opposition has decided to requisition the National Assembly session shortly to raise the issue of nuclear programme and growing threats to it.
Next week, Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) and other like-minded parties will meet to decide the timing of filing the requisition.
PML senior leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan told a group of newsmen here on Saturday that it was a matter of shame that the government had taken crucial decisions without taking the Parliament into confidence.
To a question about the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal's (MMA) co-operation on this count, he said that it was a national issue and PML won't mind all parties taking a united stand setting aside their political considerations.
"It is not a matter of scoring points. The country's nuclear deterrence is at stake. It is time for all the parties and the masses in general to join hands to defend it," he contended.
At this critical juncture after the fall of Dhaka, if the public did not show any reaction, then the future generations would not forgive us, he declared.
