The Director-General and Cultural Attache of Iran in Lahore, Muhammad Raza Amini Mashhadi, called on Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Arshad Mahmood here on Saturday.
Mashhadi discussed with the PU vice-chancellor the collaboration between the University of Mashhad and the Punjab University.
He urged the need for a better understanding between the Persian departments of both the universities.
The vice-chancellor briefed the guest on the educational and research activities of the university, saying the PU had established a college of information technology, which is the biggest IT centre in the country, while the PU College of Banking and Finance was the first one in this field in the province.
