One of the top al Qaeda leaders, Abdul Rahman Khaddar alias Al-Canadi was among the eight killed in Wana operation on October 2, last year.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid while confirming the news on Saturday told APP that his body was identified through DNA tests.
Abdul Rahman Khaddar was an Egypt born national of Canada and one of the main operatives of the organisation.
Earlier, one Hassan Masoom, heading a terrorist organisation in China, was confirmed to be among the eight terrorists killed during the same operation.
