ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan Stefano Pontecorvo along with Stefano Fiocchi, President, Italian Company Fiocchi Munizioni, Wednesday called on Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Defense and Water and Power here.
According to a press release, areas of mutual interest and cooperation in the field of defense and energy sector came under discussion in the meeting.
The Ambassador apprised about the friendly relations Pakistan and Italy are enjoying at various level.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Pakistan looking for strengthening of relations with Italy.
He said that there was a lot of potential in Pakistan in the field of energy, defense, trade, scientific and technological development which need to be exploited.
He said that for strengthening relations, mutual trade and business and people-to-people contact may be increased.
