imageBERLIN: Japan's Sara Takanashi continued her domination by picking up her 10th straight win of this season's ski jumping World Cup on Sunday when she triumphed in Hinzenbach, Austria.

The 19-year-old, who has made winning a habit, killed off the competition with an opening leap of 98.0 metres to win with a total of 260.1 points ahead of Austria's Daniela Irashko-Soltz (242.0pts) and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger (240.3).

With 11 wins now in 12 competitions, Takanashi is on course to beat her own record of 15 wins set in the 2013-14 season.

The only blip on her near-perfect copy book this season was a second place at Russia's Nizhny Tagil in mid-December.

Takanashi has now extended her lead over over Austria's Iraschko-Soltz to 371 points with seven rounds left.

The Japanese will march on towards what looks like becoming her third overall World Cup title at Ljubno in Slovenia next weekend.

Results:

1. Sara Takanashi (JPN) 260.1 pts (98.0 + 90.0 m) 2. Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (AUT) 242.0 (88.5 + 90.0 m) 3. Jacqueline Seifriedsberger (AUT) 20.3 (90.0 + 88.0 m) 4. Maren Lundby (NOR) 239.3 (90.5 + 88.0 m) 5. Ema Klinec (SLO) 236.9 (86.5 + 90.0 m)

World Cup standings (after 12 of 19 rounds):

1. Sara Takanashi (JPN) 1180 pts, 2. Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (AUT) 809, 3. Maja Vtic (SLO) 538
