imageISLAMABAD: Employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Friday continued their strike for the fourth consecutive day, against a bill that sailed through the National Assembly last week, converting the national flag carrier into a public limited company.

President PIA Air League Islamabad Muhammad Usman Khan said the protests and sit-in would continue till fulfillment of their demand.

Talking to APP, he said the employees kept the administration offices closed and did not disrupt the flight operations.

He said negotiations with PIA management as well as at the 'high level' were underway and hinted that the strike could expand from offices to flight operations, if their demand was not met by February 2.

Meanwhile, PIA employees suspended regular work and staged protests in different cities for withdrawal of the PIA Conversion Bill. -Reuters
