ISLAMABAD: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) has showed keen interest for collaboration with Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) in the field of Remote Sensing technology applications for water resources management.
Chairman IRSA, Rao Irshad Ali Khan during his visit on Tuesday met with Chairman PCRWR, Dr Muhammad Ashraf and discussed various water related issues and possible solutions.
The areas of mutual interest for future cooperation were discussed particularly, the applications of Satellite Remote Sensing technology for monitoring of surface water flows, capacity building of professional and water diplomacy.
The professionals of the Council including Director General (Research & Coordination) Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Sheikh, Deputy Director (Water Management) Engr Faizan-ul-Hassan and Assistant Director (RS/GIS) Naveed Iqbal also attended the meeting.
