Pakistan Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has expressed that Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will help him stay motivated and maintain his fitness. In order to keep his eye in, he said he wants to play domestic cricket and has signed a contract with the Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League.
According to local media report, Misbah said, “There is plenty of time for me to decide when to retire,” said Misbah while speaking to media in Lahore. “The league will help me retain my form and keep me going for some time. Whenever you play competitive cricket, your skills improve and you maintain your fitness, and that’s what BPL will give me”.
Around 25 Pakistani players have confirmed participation in the BPL and nearly 200 foreign cricketers have expressed interest in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Recently, Misbah-ul- Haq and veteran batsman Younis Khan have been roped in for the board's cricket committee. Misbah last played an international T20 in 2012 but has kept himself in the format by playing in domestic cricket and in foreign leagues.
The BPL T20 is due to held from November 25 to December 25.
