Karachi University has imposed a lifetime ban on student Araib Khan for inviting supermodel Ayyan Ali in the campus. He will not be allowed to take admission in any course of the university in future.
According to a notification of the registrar of the university, Dr Moazzam Ali Khan, “You are found guilty of damaging the reputation of the Department of Public Administration as well as the prestige of the university,” local media reported.
Earlier, authorities have issued show-cause notices to two students of Department of Public Administration at Karachi University (KU) for inviting controversial fashion model to a departmental project.
Ayyan’s visit to the campus had raised lots of questions on the management of Karachi University. Her visit to the university came weeks after she was released from Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail after spending four months in the prison.
Another student Abdullah Rizwan, who was also involved in organizing the event, has also been suspended from the university.
