British Pakistani boxer Amir Khan has extended his support to Syrian refugees. He posted a tweet on official account stating that the Amir Khan Foundation will ‘do all’ to help the people in this crisis.
A number of Syrian families and their loved ones lost their lives. However, the Aylan Kurdi’s image took the media on storm around the world. A body of Syrian three-year-old Aylan Kurdi, who drowned while fleeing the Syrian war, was found from Turkish coastal area.
The image was so disturbing and exposing the ruthlessness of humanity and leaving them with number of questions. Dozens of people worldwide paid tribute to Aylan Kurdi by re-enacting the scene of how his body was found washed ashore.
Recently, Amir visited Pakistan and said that he is optimistic about the future of boxing in Pakistan and wants to establish a boxing academy with the collaboration Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), to train young budding talent of the country.
