imageABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates said on Friday that "several" of its soldiers had been killed while fighting with a Saudi-led coalition battling Huthi rebels in Yemen.

The armed forces statement carried by the official WAM news agency did not specify the number of troops killed or the circumstances of their deaths.

But Yemeni military sources said Arab coalition soldiers were among those killed in what they said was an accidental explosion at an ammunition store in the battleground eastern province of Marib.
