imageLeft-handed people makes up to 10-15% of world’s population. Since we live in a right-handed world, mostly objects are made to cater majority of the world’s population. Here are some unknown facts about left-handed people.

In 2013, Yale University researcher Jadon Webb found that about 40 percent of those who were suffering from psychosis (a severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost with external reality) were left-handed. That’s a significant percentage, considering that only about 10 percent of the population is left-handed.

Make especially good baseball players, tennis players, swimmers, boxers and fencers (almost 40% of the top tennis players are lefties). They are more into creative careers.

According to scientists, left-handed people are able to see more clearly under water. Scientists think that left-handed folks can handle large amounts of stimuli better than their right-handed counterparts, that’s why they are more likely to beat right-handed people in video games.

They possess high IQ level and seem to be more intelligent than right-handed people. They are also quick learners. A left handed people runs higher risk of getting depression, migraine, insomniacs, stuttering and dyslexia.

Many renowned celebrities are left handed people including, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, Justin Bieber, Julia Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise, Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Prince William, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar and Sachin Tendulkar among others.
