Former Pakistani skipper Rashid Latif has predicted that Pakistan is capable of making a clean-sweep in the five-match One-day International series against Sri Lanka.
According to local media reports Latif said that Pakistani players is in good form and if they continue their performance the way they performed in first ODI, then there is no reason Pakistan can’t win the series by 5-0.
“Lankan tigers are seriously lacking experience and depth in their batting and bowling after the retirement of Jayawardene and Sangakkara.” he added.
Rashid Latif further said that Pakistan has a huge opportunity to not only make his place in Champions Trophy but also improve its ODI matches flaws, he said, “Catching and fielding has been improving significantly, if they continue their efforts, then no one can stop them to achieve their goals”.
Pakistan captain Azhar Ali’s team was showing fighting qualities which was good sign. Pakistan is facing a big challenge to qualify for the 2017 Champions Trophy being staged in England.
