Actor Salman Khan has refused to share screen space with his ex-flame Katrina Kaif for an ad campaign. Just a few days ago, Salman Khan had spoken out in support of Katrina Kaif saying that she will always be a friend and a part of the Khan clan, but now it looks like he didn’t really mean it.
According to Indian media reports, Salman and Katrina were offered a whopping Rs 7 crore to feature in an advertisement together. And while Katrina was quite keen to be back on screen with Salman even if it was for an advertisement, Salman wasn’t too pleased with the idea and turned down the lucrative offer.
Reportedly, Katrina Kaif was the first preference for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ but later Kareena Kapoor Khan bagged the role. Also Salman Khan rejected the idea to approach Katrina Kaif for ‘Sultan’.
Khan has been trying to keep a safe distance from ‘Dhoom 3’ actress as he doesn’t want to haunt her with the past. He once quoted as saying, “She used to be a friend, but today she is somebody else’s friend. I respect that and I stay away because I don’t want to give someone a reason to tell her, ‘Oh you are still in touch with Salman.’ The past should not intrude on the present,” Indian media reported.
