MILAN: Shares on the Milan stock exchange extended their losses in mid-morning trading on Tuesday, dropping 2.48 percent ahead of a meeting of the French and German leaders on the eurozone debt crisis.
Italy's stock market reopened for the first time after the cabinet signed off on a 45.5-billion-euro ($64.8 billion) austerity package at the end of last week, aimed at calming contagion fears among investors.
