The makers of ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ launched the first look and motion poster of the movie in a glitzy event to mark the 28th birthday of its leading star, Kangana Ranaut.
In the first look of Anand L Rai's film, Kangana Ranaut is seen in a double role of a shy bride and a tomboy with a male lead R Madhavan sitting in the middle donning a wedding attire.
According to Hindustan Times reports Kangana said, “The film has been a memorable one in her career as it helped her to be a successful actress. I bagged the script when I had no work in the industry and it turned out to be an unexpected hit. It was a first film of its kind which despite having small-budget became a hit”.
The movie directed by Aanand L Rai, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ is the sequel to the 2011 ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and takes the story forward from where the last film had ended. Kangana and Madhavan reprise their respective roles, Tanuja (Tanu) and Manoj (Manu), in the sequel.
The movie ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ has been shot in London, Kanpur, Lucknow and Delhi, and is supposed to hit the theatres by the end of May this year.
