Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie at a recent visit to Iraq’s refugee camp meets survivors of ISIS attack.
According to foreign media reports, Angelina Jolie traveled to northern Iraq on Sunday, January 25, to visit the Khanke Camp for Internally Displaced People. Angelina Jolie took part in a news conference where she claims that the ‘world is failing in its effort to address the refugee crisis in Iraq and Syria’.
Jolie visited many families who have lost their children and other family members in the attack. She visited Iraq not as a visitor but as a U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees.
After greeting a large crowd with a smile and a handshake with some of the refugees, Jolie gave a passionate and meaningful speech, targeting world leaders to provide more aid and help resolve the fighting in Syria and Iraq. She said, “Too many innocent people are paying the price of the conflict in Syria and spread of extremism. The international community has to step up and do more,” Daily mail reported.
She appealed to work together to end the suffering, so that people can return to their homes in Iraq and Syria.
