imageA week before mega event of cricket, Pakistan is facing yet another controversy. The Pakistani players have refused to sign three months contract offered to them.

According to local media reports, the PCB chairman confirmed the reservations and stated that players have rejected the 3-month contracts and have demanded regular one-year contracts ahead of the World Cup. The chairman is however hopeful that a middle ground will be found ahead of the mega event.

The existing contract has expired on December 31, 2014 but instead of giving the players a fresh long-term contract, as is the usual practice, the PCB announced that the existing contracts had been extended for three more months only.

Many Pakistani players are not happy with this decision and took a stand against the Pakistan cricket board. Certain clause in the contract has also created rift among the players.

Just a week before the World Cup starts, Pakistani team is still unsure about their position. As per the latest predictions by experts these petty issues won’t create a positive impact on Pakistani cricket team during the World Cup 2015.
