imagePESHAWAR: A three days anti polio campaign continued in 19 different districts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa wherein special teams and officials of health department are vaccinating children under five years of age.

According to Expended Programme for Immunization (EPI), the campaign is successfully underway at Abbottabad, Buner, Chitral, Dir Lower, Haripur, Kohat, Kohistan, Malakand, Nowshera, Swabi, DI Khan, Hangu, Lakki Marwat, Mardan and Tank district while children of Charsadda and Peshawar were vaccinated on Sunday.

Emphasis are being given on vaccination of children in 431 high risk union councils of the province, the official said, adding strict action would be taken against parents, who refused to vaccinate children.

The official urged parents to bring their children to nearest hospitals and Basic Health Units (BHUs) in case anti polio teams did not arrive at their homes.
