imageISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) wanted to sabotage country's march towards progress and prosperity on behalf of their foreign masters.

Participating in the debate of current political situation, the legislators both from treasury and opposition expressed solidarity with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and vowed to support democracy and protect the constitution.

Participating in the debate - Rana Mohammad Afzal Khan of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) said a vast majority of people have rejected the sit-ins of PTI and PAT.

He said the government would never be intimidated by a few thousand protesters and continue its march towards progress and prosperity.

There is no danger to democracy in the country as the government enjoys the support of large segment of society including parliament, chambers of commerce, bar associations, civil society and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).

He said PML-N was working on a development agenda for exterminating the menace of load shedding. Protestors were trying to sabotage democracy in the country on behalf of their foreign masters.

Chief of PAT Dr Tahirul Qadri had arrived in country for impeding country's march towards development and prosperity. Media trial of country's leadership was being done without any proof and evidence.

Regarding protest rallies and sit ins Rana Afzal said the media was painting a pathetic picture of the country while everything was running smooth in the country.

Maulana Qamaruddin of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) severely criticized Dr Tahirul Qadri.

Muhammad Afzal Dhandla of PML-N said the elections of 2013 were far transparent and fair than the elections of year 2002 and 2008. Future of the country was in strengthening democracy and democratic institutions.
