imageRAWALPINDI: Jamiat Ulema Islam (F) City Chapter Friday held a protest rally at Rawalpindi Press club to condemn Imran Khan's call for civil disobedience and Pakistan Tehreek Insaf, Pakistan Awami Tehreek sit-ins in front of Parliament House.

Speaking on the occasion, Ameer JUI(F)Punjab Dr Atiq u Rehman said the civil disobedience call was unconstitutional and would lead to social unrest.

He said that it was an attempt to derail democracy but JUI(F) would resist the any unconstitutional move.

He said it is not appropriate time to come on the roads and nation would not accept any imported revolution.

District Ameer Zia u Rehman Amazi, while speaking on the occasion said that political leaders should set an example for general public by abiding by the rule of law as people look towards them for seeking guidance. "We are against the use of force by any group or individual and it is the duty of the government to protect the basic rights of its citizens, maintain law and order and create an atmosphere of peace and tolerance,"he added

The protesters stayed outside the presss club for some time. They chanted slogans against PTI and PAT sit-ins.
