Senior Journalist and anchor person Jon Snow visited Gaza and reported live during the heavy bombardment from Israel. The Channel 4 anchor had recorded an emotional plea after his return.
According to media reports, He tells of visiting the third floor of Gaza’s Shifa hospital, where children are treated, and seeing a girl with ‘panda eyes’, huge bruises caused by a fractured skull and broken nose. “I can't get those images out of my mind”.
He said, “We cannot let it go on. If our reporting is worth anything, if your preparedness to listen and watch and read is anything to go by, then together we can make a difference,” media reported.
Snow has also mentioned that the soldiers who are fighting from Israel side are also in their twenties and from past 19 days of war Gaza has lost 166 children while 1,310 are wounded.
In an emotional appeal, a visibly moved Snow calls for an end to the violence that has caused the deaths and wounding of so many young lives.
