WELLINGTON: New Zealand food prices rise at their fastest in a year in June due to higher prices for fresh vegetables and meat.
The food price index rise 1.4 percent from May, its biggest gain since June 2013, to be 1.2 percent higher from the same month last year. Food prices make up nearly 19 percent of the consumer price index.
