HYDERABAD: Three policemen were martyred and another sustained injuries when unidentified armed men fired at a police mobile here in Latifabad late on Sunday night, the police said.
PRO to District Police Officer Hyderabad, Mazhar Shani, confirmed that three policemen, who had received critical injuries in the firing at police mobile near the roundabout of Latifabad Unit 8, succumbed to their injuries during treatment at the Civil Hospital Hyderabad.
The deceased were identified as Rashid, Ishtiaq and Masood. While another policeman, Munawar David, who sustained injuries in the incident, was under treatment at the hospital.
DIG Hyderabad Sanaullah Abbasi and SSP Hyderabad Pir Farid Jan Sarhandi along with other police officers visited the site where the mobile was attacked and also the hospital and enquired about the incident.
Talking to the media persons at Civil Hospital Hyderabad, DIG Sanaullah Abbasi said that all out efforts will be made to arrest the culprits involved in targeting the policemen.
