Excise people to work for 'recovery targets'

FAISALABAD: The weekly holidays of Excise & Taxation department employees have been cancelled to enable them achieve the recovery target.

A spokesman told here on Wednesday that steps were being taken on daily basis to achieve 100 percent recovery target. In this connection, properties of defaulters were being sealed, while vehicles whose token tax was unpaid so far were being impounded, it was learnt.

June is last month of the fiscal year and during this month 100 percent recovery target has to be achieved, the spokesman added.
