Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has registered 21 companies having foreign investment during May.

These companies have investment by foreign nationals from the U.K., China, Canada, Denmark, South Korea, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Jordan, Norway, the Netherlands, Singapore and Afghanistan.

Eight companies were registered in Lahore, seven in Islamabad and six in Karachi.

The sector-wise breakdown of the new incorporations show that five companies are in trading, followed by two companies each in services, mining, transport and one company each in education, power generation, sugar, chemical, fertilizer, information technology, fuel and energy, steel, seed processing and miscellaneous sector, said a statement issued here on Saturday.

In addition, one foreign company from the U.A.E. was registered in Karachi. It belongs to the trading sector.
