ISLAMABAD: PML-N member National Assembly Marvi Memon on Wednesday urged the Sindh government to declare Thatta district as calamity-hit area.
Speaking on a point of order in the National Assembly, she said three union councils of the Thatta district were facing drought and the provincial government should take steps to provide relief to the people.
Speaking on another point of order, Chaudhry Khadim Hussain asked the government to compensate farmers in Jehlum distirct whose crops had been affected by hailstorm.
