KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has invited the investment companies and business community of Qatar to come forward and promote business and investment activities in Sindh province and assured that full co-operation would be provided to them.
This he stated while talking to Consul General of Qatar Saad Abdulla S.M. Al-Shareef who called on him at the CM house here on Monday.
The Chief Minister said that we have lot of respect for Qatar and we are enjoying good relations with the people of Qatar.
He said that after 18th Constitutional Amendment, now provinces are independent either to get or go for foreign investment.
Briefing about Sindh, he said investment opportunities in agriculture, water sector, solid waste and energy are available in the province in addition to business activities. Besides, Qatar can help us by providing gas for CNG consumption.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah assured the Consul General that a prospectus of investment opportunities in Sindh would be made available to his Embassy and added that exchange of delegations and contact between business communities of both sides are very much essential to increase trade and commerce activities.
The Consul General while participating in the discussion called for prospectus and proposals for investment opportunities in Sindh and said that he has been assigned by his government for exploring and availing business and investment opportunities in Sindh and Balochistan.
He also briefed the Chief Minister about the business opportunities in Qatar and added that he wants strong relations with the business communities in Sindh.
