QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League-N Balochistan chapter has said that it has right to get offices of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Quetta Metropolitan, as it has been enjoying support of 30 winners of the local bodies elections for the Metropolitan.
PML-N Balochistan leader and former City Nazim, Quetta, Abdul Raheem Kakar said, here on Tuesday that PML-N got majority in the local bodies elections and it would get the offices of Mayor and Deputy Mayor. "We have unconditional support of 30 councillors of Metropolitan Quetta and therefore, it is our right to get the slots of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the metropolis," he said.
He said that PML-N despite having majority in the Balochistan Assembly, gave the offices of Governor and Chief Minister to its coalition partners including Pashtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party and National Party, respectively, adding that now the allies should support the PML-N candidates for the offices of Mayor and Deputy Mayor Quetta.
He said that PML-N Balochistan was consulting with its allies in 10-members All Parties Democratic Alliance that was formed for contesting local bodies elections in Quetta.
