ISLAMABAD: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Hafiz Abdul Basit has said that relief activities are going in smooth way in the area and the efforts are underway to speed up the rescue operation.
Talking to a private news channel, Basit said that tents and food have been supplied to the quake victims while situation in the area is under control.
Analyst Rao Javeed Akhtar also said that the Federal Government has taken steps to provide relief to the earthquake victims of Balochistan.
He said that Chinese government also contributed in this regard by providing relief goods for the affected areas.
He stated that it is difficult to overcome the losses caused by the massive earthquake.
